Why these places and for whom?
These locations offer striking lines (glaciers, granite walls, ridges) and crisp lighting. It's the perfect combination for a mountain photo print with a sharp image on matte Dibond aluminum : ideal for a warm and contemporary interior design , and a sure-fire sale .
1) Mer de Glace in autumn — golden moraines & granite
Why I go: Autumn gilds the larches and highlights the striations of the ice beneath the Grandes Jorasses. A classic that never disappoints when it comes to capturing textures.
Light: late afternoon for the reliefs; morning for the calm.
See the photo picture "Mer de Glace in autumn" — perfect in a living room with wood & linen tones.
2) Talèfre Glacier — ski mountaineering at the foot of the Aiguille du Moine
Why I go there: pure lines, bluish seracs, orange rocks of the Moine: a very graphic high mountain atmosphere.
Light: cold morning to preserve the blue of the seracs.
See the photo chart "Ski mountaineering — Talèfre & Aiguille du Moine" — matte anti-reflective rendering for precise reading of details.
3) Seracs of the Talefre — Monk, Nun & Bishop
Why I go: iconic triptych Monk / Nun / Bishop with a unique depth on the glacier.
Framing tip: place a line of serac in the foreground to provide scale.
See the photo painting "Séracs du Talèfre — Monk, Nun & Bishop" — ideal in an office for a "mineral energy" decor.
4) Couvercle Refuge — balcony overlooking the Mer de Glace
Why I go there: the Couvercle terrace overlooks the Mer de Glace, with the Droites, Courtes, Triolet in the background: a spectacular balcony.
Light: end of the day to catch the edges.
See the photo painting "Refuge du Couvercle & glacier de Talèfre" — in panoramic format, it literally "opens up" the room.
5) Aiguille du Midi — sunset (color)
Why I go there: when the granite catches fire, the Aiguille du Midi becomes a beacon above Chamonix; warm colors, vibrant atmosphere.
See the photo picture "Sunset over the Aiguille du Midi" — ideal for a cozy decor (beige sofa, light wood).
6) Aiguille du Midi — sunset (Black & White)
Why I'm going there: in B&W, we keep the essentials: lines, gendarmes, seracs; an elegant and timeless contrast.
See the photo board “Aiguille du Midi — Black & White” — perfect for a minimalist decor (black, white, polished concrete).
7) Aiguille Verte & Drus — the granite cathedral
Why I'm going: the walls of the Drus and the ridges of the Aiguille Verte: the archetype of the Mont Blanc massif from the Brévent/Flégère slopes or the Aiguilles Rouges.
Light: morning to highlight the reliefs.
See the photo painting "Aiguille Verte & Drus" — a strong piece for a wall with character.
8) Chalets d'Ayères (Passy) — facing Mont Blanc
Why I go there: authentic atmosphere at the foot of the Fiz mountain range, frontal view of Mont Blanc; in winter, the snow-laden roofs create a magical landscape.
See the photo board "Ayères Chalets in the snow" — entrance or bedroom, Scandinavian/mountain look.
