From Mont-Blanc to the wilder valleys
In the Contamines-Montjoie and Giffre valleys, the atmosphere becomes more wooded. We find the Moëde Anterne refuge at night, the snow-covered fir trees of the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval and the first snows around La Clusaz. Lac d’Annecy, Semnoz and the Aravis offer another face of Haute-Savoie, less glacial but just as marked by the relief.
