The sky occupies most of the frame, while the relief remains visible enough to anchor the scene in the massif and provide a base for the movement of the galactic arc. The Mont-Blanc massif offers a largely open high-altitude horizon, particularly well suited to astrophotography once urban lights disappear. The summit placed on the right-hand side of the composition is the main geographical landmark in this Alpine night scene.
