AluArtMountains is a gallery founded in 2024, specialising in Alpine landscapes and mountain photography. It offers photo prints on matte Dibond aluminium, made to order, from works by Pierre Thiaville and other photographers.
Each photograph is selected for the quality of its composition, the accuracy of the location shown and its ability to retain its impact once printed and installed in an interior.

A gallery dedicated to mountain landscapes
The Alps are at the heart of AluArtMountains. The gallery brings together photographs of peaks, lakes, glaciers, villages, mountain passes, refuges, forests and valleys, through different seasons and lighting conditions.
The catalogue mainly covers the French, Swiss and Italian Alps, as well as other mountain regions genuinely represented in the collections. The aim is not to become a generalist gallery, but to build a coherent world around high-altitude landscapes and their decorative potential.
The works are organised by mountain range, destination, atmosphere and orientation to make it easier to find a print suited to a specific place, colour palette or mood.
Pierre Thiaville, founder and curator
Pierre Thiaville has been photographing the mountains since 2017. He founded AluArtMountains in 2024 to offer his images as wall art and build a gallery dedicated to Alpine landscapes.
He works as a photographer, founder and curator: he creates some of the works, organises the collections, oversees editorial consistency and also selects photographs by other authors when their work complements the gallery’s artistic direction.
A multi-author gallery
AluArtMountains presents photographs by Pierre Thiaville as well as works by other photographers. Each product page displays a “Photographer” field indicating the true author of the image.
No work is automatically attributed to Pierre. Purchasing a print also does not transfer reproduction, distribution or exploitation rights to the photographic file.
Only photographs authored by Pierre Thiaville can be licensed directly by him.
How are the photographs selected?
An image must work both as a landscape photograph and as wall art. The selection is based in particular on the following criteria:
Composition and light
Leading lines, balance between planes, depth, colours and the ability of the light to reveal the relief.
Geographical accuracy
Location, mountain range, peaks and natural features described without inventing a location or uncertain identification.
Print quality
Resolution, sharpness, framing and the file’s ability to retain a convincing result in the sizes offered.
Catalogue complementarity
Interest of the location, season, atmosphere, orientation and the image’s real contribution to existing collections.
Author and rights
Identified photographer, verified conditions of use and no restrictions incompatible with selling the print.
Decorative impact
The image’s ability to structure a wall, work in large format and remain clearly readable from a distance.
Why matte Dibond aluminium?
AluArtMountains chose matte Dibond aluminium for its slim presentation, excellent flatness and contemporary finish. The matte surface limits reflections and allows the photograph to occupy the entire visible surface without necessarily requiring a visible frame.
This medium is particularly suited to detailed landscapes, panoramic compositions, black-and-white reliefs and interiors where the image should remain the main element.

Prints made to order
Each print is made to order according to the photograph, size and options selected. Works are not taken from a stock of pre-printed wall art.
Available dimensions may vary depending on the photograph’s ratio and orientation. The product page remains the reference for standard sizes. The hanging system may also vary according to the product and manufacturing partner; the components and instructions received with the order take precedence for installation.
Choose the right size for your wall
Support for custom projects
Some photographs can be adapted up to 200 cm on the long side and 110 cm on the other side. The crop can be reworked to match the proportions of the wall without stretching or distorting the image.
A simulation can be prepared from a photograph of the wall and a reference measurement. Resolution, composition and, for a work by another photographer, the availability of the file and the necessary rights are checked before a quotation is issued.
Decoration and professional projects
Decorating a professional space
Hotels, restaurants, offices, meeting rooms and reception areas can be considered for a selection of prints, a coherent series or a study of specific formats.
Using a photograph by Pierre
A licence can be considered for a campaign, website, publication, display, lightbox or production carried out by the client’s service provider.
