Black and white photos of French Alps peaks, glaciers, mountain huts, and valleys
Black and white photography removes color to reveal the lines of the terrain. Mont Blanc, Les Drus, the Aiguille du Midi, and the Vanoise mountain huts then take on a more graphic presence, with sharper shadows and a different interpretation of the snow. The selection also includes animal portraits and some ski lifts, treated in the same understated spirit.
Each black and white print of the French Alps is produced to order on matte Dibond aluminum, so as to maintain legible shades of gray, ridges, and shadows even in a brightly lit room.
