About this image
In black and white, Aiguille du Midi stands out above Chamonix in late-day light. The framing emphasizes its ridges, couloirs and snow-covered slopes, while the summit observatory provides a human reference point on this highly vertical silhouette. A band of clouds crosses the mountain in front of the left slope, which is loaded with snow and ice. The small summit structure remains a sharp point above these more shifting surfaces. Black and white connects the architecture to the outline of the aiguille, while the passing cloud introduces softer depth between bright areas and dark rock.
The monochrome treatment transforms sunset into an extended range of greys. Bright whites, dark rocks and deep shadows underline the structure of the relief without colour distracting from the mountain’s essential lines.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
