Climbers advance on the Cosmiques Ridge, between snow, granite and airy passages, facing the high reliefs of the Mont Blanc massif. The ropes arranged along the ridge give a sense of scale and guide the eye in a composition dominated by verticality. Accessible from the Aiguille du Midi, the Cosmiques Ridge is located at an altitude of around 3,800 meters above Chamonix. This emblematic mixed route combines snow, rock, rappels and short climbing sections before reaching the summit facilities of the Aiguille du Midi. The framing follows the line of the ridge and keeps the climbers at the heart of the landscape. The contrast between the dark silhouettes, the light snow and the surrounding glaciers reinforces the feeling of altitude, commitment and space characteristic of mountaineering.
