About this image
Lake Montriond stretches its green waters between the forests of the Aulps Valley and the great cliffs of the Chablais. Golden trees cover the right-hand slope, while the left remains in shadow. The lake’s reflection repeats this distribution of light beneath a rounded summit. The photograph thus gives the shores of a single valley two different moods while preserving the unity of the water, which connects the wooded masses and their colours.
Located above Morzine, in the commune of Montriond, the lake is nestled at the foot of the Avoriaz mountains. Conifers descend almost to the water's edge, enhancing the sense of depth in this Haute-Savoie landscape.
The calm surface reflects the greens of the forest and the lighter shades of the sky. The framing follows the length of the lake, allowing the slopes to form a natural corridor around the water. What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
