Photo print of Duingt and Lac d’Annecy from Col de la Forclaz

From the Col de la Forclaz, the view plunges down onto Duingt, its peninsula, and the waters of Lac d’Annecy. The castle marks the shore while the curves of the lake draw the eye towards the wooded, limestone relief of Haute-Savoie. The village spreads at the foot of wooded ridges and limestone cliffs, with fields opening up a few lighter areas. The castle's peninsula projects into the lake in the foreground. This connection between buildings, shore and slopes gives a precise view of Duingt, whose forms remain distinct in the landscape's soft light.

The panoramic framing clearly organizes the heritage, water, and mountains. The blues of the lake, the greens of the forests, and the volumes of the surrounding massifs create a gentle depth, while the elevated position of the viewpoint reveals the entire geography of the shores.

The pass is located at an altitude of approximately 1,150 meters above Talloires-Montmin and offers one of the lake's grandest viewpoints. Below, Duingt occupies a narrow passage between the large and small lakes, with its castle situated on an immediately recognizable promontory.

This viewpoint becomes a photo print of Duingt and Lac d’Annecy from the Col de la Forclaz. The on-demand printing on matte Dibond aluminium captures the village, the castle, the shores, and the depth of the alpine panorama.
