About this image
Lac Blanc stretches out among the rocky blocks of the Aiguilles Rouges, directly facing the Mont-Blanc massif. The mineral shore occupies the foreground, the water forms a calm intermediate plane, and the snow-covered peaks close off the horizon. A discreet hiker gives scale to this vast landscape. Small figures can be distinguished on the russet rocky shore. The lake's mirror extends the snowy range and the streaks of the sky, while these figures remain close to the boundary between water and stone. Their size makes the scale of the blocks and basin tangible without breaking the continuity of the reflection.
The composition is read in three very distinct planes: the ruggedness of the rocks, the surface of the lake, then the line of peaks and glaciers. The human presence remains secondary, but it allows one to gauge the size of the blocks and the grandeur of the high-altitude setting.
Located at an altitude of 2,352 meters in the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve, above Chamonix, the lake is famous for its panoramic view of the Aiguille Verte, Les Drus, Aiguille du Midi, and Mont-Blanc. These reliefs are reflected in places in the water.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
