About this image

The limestone ridges of the Aravis massif unfold facing Mont-Blanc in sunset light. Alpine meadows and combes structure the foreground while the snow-covered summits of the Mont-Blanc massif appear in the distance. A misty valley separates the nearby slopes from the immense glacial range. Golden grasses cover the steep ridges in the foreground and bring fine texture in front of the great white expanses. This intermediate veil makes the distance between the two massifs tangible while bringing their silhouettes together in the same late-day light.

Warm light emphasizes the pale rock of the Aravis, while distant summits retain cooler shades. The succession of planes visually brings the two massifs closer while keeping their differences of material, altitude and form readable.

This photograph brings together two major landscapes of Haute-Savoie. The Aravis are characterised by limestone relief, grassy slopes and regular ridge lines. In the background, Mont-Blanc introduces a second scale, higher and more glacial.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
