At the Jonction, a rocky path winds between the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers, above the Chamonix valley. Seracs, crevasses, and ice masses dominate much of the landscape, while a hiker provides a sense of scale for this glacial environment. This viewpoint in the Mont-Blanc massif marks the meeting point of the two glaciers. The long and demanding route follows a rocky spur between their ice tongues and retraces a historical section used during the first explorations of Mont-Blanc in the late 18th century. The path's line guides the eye from the foreground rock towards the glaciers, then towards the upper slopes. The human presence remains tiny, enhancing the sensation of depth, height, and movement inherent in fractured ice. The power of the ice is captured in a photo print of the Jonction between the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers. Printed on demand on matte aluminium Dibond, it preserves the delicacy of the seracs and the scale of the Chamonix landscape.
