Located approximately 1,906 meters above Sainte-Agnès, this glacial lake faces the Grand Pic de Belledonne, the Pic Central, and the Croix de Belledonne. The Grand Pic reaches 2,977 meters and is the highest point of the range. The framing connects the horizontality of the water with the verticality of the peaks. The nuances of the lake soften the presence of the granite, while the snowfields and variations in light make the succession of slopes up to the crests legible.
