Chalet 4810 in Saint-Gervais: luxury mountain décor with the Mont-Blanc collection
For this project, the owner of Chalet 4810 in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, offered for rent by Le Collectionist, wanted to adorn the various spaces with mountain photo prints that were consistent with the architecture of the place: old wood paneling, generous volumes, and an alpine atmosphere.
The selection was primarily built around the Mont-Blanc massif, featuring snowy landscapes, mountaineering scenes, and a ski photograph. The images were printed on matte Dibond aluminum, in formats adapted to each wall, from the bedrooms to the living room and the stairwell.
Wall decoration designed for the chalet's architecture
In an interior heavily characterized by wood, the prints needed to provide a strong visual presence without making the rooms feel heavy. The selection of photographs, their orientation, and their dimensions were therefore chosen based on each space.
- Panoramic formats above the beds to follow the horizontal lines of the headboards.
- Vertical formats in high spaces, particularly the living room and the staircase.
- A palette dominated by snow, rock, and mountain light, contrasting with the warm tones of the wood paneling.

Panoramic prints in the bedrooms
In each bedroom, the print is placed above the headboard to create an immediately visible focal point upon entering the room. The elongated formats echo the lines of the furniture and balance the wood-paneled walls.
The panoramic format occupies the central part of the wall without encroaching on the lateral wood paneling. The golden lights of the landscape respond to the nuances of the wood, while the snow-capped peaks introduce additional depth into the room.
In this second bedroom, the photograph of a hamlet under the snow creates a softer ambiance. The landscape remains very present, but its light tones integrate naturally into this intimate space.
Despite the historic file name, this photograph clearly shows a bedroom and not the staircase. The print of the glacier and rocky peaks provides a more mineral composition here, while maintaining the same principle of alignment with the headboard.
A panoramic Mont-Blanc composition in multiple panels
One of the most imposing pieces of the project is a multi-panel black and white composition. The landscape of the Mont-Blanc massif was divided to form a large-scale fresco, adapted to a wall much wider than a standard format.
The division into multiple elements allows for a very large width while visually structuring the landscape. The black and white treatment emphasizes the reliefs, seracs, and rocky lines, in harmony with the combination of wood and mineral materials present in the chalet.
Vertical formats for the living room and staircase
The highest spaces of the chalet required a different approach. Two vertical photographs were chosen: a ski scene in the living room and an image of mountaineers in the stairwell.
The contrast between the sprayed snow, the dark background of the photograph, and the wood paneling creates an immediate impact. The vertical format exploits the available height without multiplying the decorative elements around the print.
The progression of the mountaineers on the ridge naturally echoes the movement of ascending. The image remains visible from multiple levels and transforms this circulation space into a true element of the decorative journey.
