About this image

The Clausis chapel stands out amidst the alpine pastures of the Cirque de la Blanche, between autumn colours and first snows. Its simple architecture provides a discreet human presence in a landscape dominated by the slopes and high peaks of the Queyras. The white chapel stands on a mound of russet grass crossed by a path. Young conifers dot the surroundings before the high snowy mountains caught in the clouds. The building's whiteness echoes the snow in the background, while the warm colours of the ground emphasise its presence in the foreground.

The framing allows the building to breathe instead of isolating it. The still ocher meadows occupy the foreground, the snowy areas gradually mark the ascent in altitude and the mineral reliefs give its full scale to the small chapel.

Accessible from Saint-Véran, the chapel accompanies the route to the Refuge de la Blanche and the passes near the Italian border. The Pic de Châteaurenard, the Rocca Bianca and the Tête des Toillies close off this vast high-altitude cirque in the Hautes-Alpes.

If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
