About this image
Horses graze in the Alpine pastures of Font d’Urle, in the heart of the Vercors. Their presence brings life to the plateau’s broad meadows without obscuring the limestone terrain that gives the landscape its identity.
The animals in the foreground naturally lead the eye towards the pastures and then the lines of the massif. The composition thus retains both the pastoral character of the place and the scale of the mountain setting.
Situated in the Drôme, Font d’Urle is an area of pastures and cliffs where livestock farming and open spaces are part of the landscape. The scene offers a calm, open view of summer.
This photo print of horses at Font d’Urle is printed to order on matte aluminium Dibond, reproducing the textures of their coats and the natural colours of the plateau.
