About this image
From the Lances de Malissard, the Belledonne range fills the entire horizon beyond the limestone reliefs of the Chartreuse. The ridges follow one another in parallel planes, with an atmospheric depth that clearly separates the nearer slopes from the more distant summits. Three small figures punctuate the golden grassy ridge. Their presence brings the panorama back to the terrain being crossed, while banks of mist isolate this warm line from the distant snow. From the ochre foreground slope to the white mountain range, the changes in colour make the distance between the Chartreuse viewpoint and the mountains facing it perceptible.
The photograph relies on this layering of lines rather than on forcing the identification of every summit. Soft light shapes the ridges, reveals the valleys and gives the panorama a precise reading without flattening the most distant reliefs.
This viewpoint lies in the Hauts de Chartreuse, between Isère and Savoie. It brings together two very different massifs: the limestone plateaus and cliffs of the Chartreuse in the foreground, then the high granite ridges of Belledonne beyond the Grésivaudan valley.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
