About this image

The Aravis mountain range unfurls its limestone ridges opposite the glacial Mont-Blanc massif. In the foreground, alpine pastures and grey rock faces create a jagged line; on the horizon, snow and glaciers add a second scale to the panorama. A small oval pool appears at the lower right, among the alpine pastures. On the left, the white massif emerges behind clouds, beyond the long chain of pale cliffs and rocky peaks. This arrangement gives the panorama depth: the small features of the nearby terrain stand out against increasingly vast mountain forms.

The panoramic format accentuates the succession of planes and the compression effect between the massifs. The intermediate alpine pastures provide a softer transition, while the material contrasts maintain a clear reading of the Aravis and Mont-Blanc without confusing them.

Pointe Percée, the highest point of the Aravis at 2,750 metres, structures this Haute-Savoie massif. The distance separating it from Mont-Blanc allows two very different geological formations to be brought together in a single view: the limestone of the Prealps and the high granite and glacial reliefs of the roof of the Alps.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
