About this image
The last rays of sun cross the cirque of the Vens lakes and warm the rocks, alpine meadows, and some ridgelines. The different bodies of water follow one another in the valley, gradually leading the eye towards the high peaks of the Tinée. A grassy promontory crossed by paths overlooks the long, dark lake. The paths provide a nearby reference point in the rocky valley before the hazy mountains in the distance. This pattern of terrain follows the length of the water and allows the transitions between grass and stone to be traced without reducing the landscape to the lake's surface alone.
The evening light does not uniformly cover the scene: it selects some ridges and water surfaces, while the hollows remain colder. This alternation gives depth to the valley and preserves the wild character of the site.
This string of natural lakes is located in the Parc national du Mercantour, above Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée. The site is part of an ancient glacial cirque where lakes, waterfalls, alpine pastures, and mineral reliefs compose a particularly rich landscape of the Maritime Alps.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
