About this image
Seen from the Conscrits refuge, the Tré-la-Tête glacier receives the evening light, which emphasizes its ice relief, moraines and the ridges closing the landscape. A warm opening filters through on the right, among clouds hiding the upper parts of the summits. Across the flatter areas, white sheets stand out from nearby rocks and snow-covered walls. The opening in the sky concentrates the evening light; the photograph connects this distant brightness to the textures of the glacier from the Conscrits viewpoint.
The contrast between the warm tones of sunset and the cooler blues of the snow gives depth to the composition. Lines of seracs and rock lead the eye toward the summits and convey the full scale of the glacier.
This area overlooks Les Contamines-Montjoie in Haute-Savoie, in the south-western part of the Mont-Blanc massif. The Conscrits refuge lies at around 2,600 metres above sea level and serves in particular as a starting point for the Dômes de Miage and the north Aiguille de Tré-la-Tête.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
