From the sky, the snow-covered Hohneck reveals the outline of its ridges, its high stubble fields, and the valleys that descend on either side of the summit. The light of the sunset accentuates the lines of the relief, while the winter shadows transform the snow into a succession of volumes. This summit, at 1,363 meters, belongs to the High Vosges and notably overlooks the Munster valley. The aerial perspective makes the relationship clearer between the rounded ridges of the massif, the steeper slopes of the ancient glacial cirques, and the forests located below. The high-angle shot provides a graphic reading of the terrain without erasing its real scale. The whites, blues, and sun-gilded areas are distributed according to the orientation of the slopes and reveal every change in level.
