About this image

Lac de Salanfe stretches at the foot of the Dents du Midi in a vast cirque of alpine pastures and rocky walls. Water makes up a large part of the composition and creates a space of calm facing the jagged wall of the massif. The irregular shores and grassy slopes naturally guide the eye towards the summits. The blue lake occupies the lower right of the view. The dam draws a clear boundary on the opposite shore. On the left, a band of ice follows the jagged ridge of the Dents du Midi above the scree. This contrast between the geometric structure, blue water and rugged terrain gives the view its character: a reservoir set within a cirque whose scale remains entirely mountainous.

Located at an altitude of approximately 1,925 meters in the canton of Valais, Lac de Salanfe is a mountain reservoir situated above Evionnaz. It is surrounded by the Dents du Midi, the Tour Sallière, and Luisin, in an area where the Valais landscapes meet the reliefs of the Giffre massif.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
