About this image

Lake Cerces reflects Pointe des Cerces in its calm waters, amidst high-altitude pastures still dotted with snowfields. The grey cliffs seem to descend directly towards the water, powerfully enclosing the composition. The grasses and stones in the foreground soften this mineral presence. A small blue tent appears on the alpine pasture to the left of the lake. Beyond it, a group of more distant peaks extends the landscape, while two great towers occupy the reflection. The tent and remaining snow provide nearby landmarks at the foot of these volumes, in a photograph where life along the water’s edge remains discreet.

Located at an altitude of approximately 2,410 metres above Valloire, the lake belongs to the Cerces Massif, near the Col du Galibier. Pointe des Cerces dominates this area of lakes, passes, and scree slopes situated between Savoie and the Hautes-Alpes, in an environment largely preserved from any construction.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
