About this image
The extensive Alpine pastures of Font d’Urle spread across the heights of the Vercors, between meadows, cliffs and limestone formations. The landscape remains very open, highlighting the broad lines of the plateau.
The green pastures contrast with pale rock, while breaks in the terrain give the composition a clear sense of depth. The image conveys the pastoral and mineral character of this part of the Vercors.
Font d’Urle lies in the municipality of Bouvante, in the Drôme. The plateau is shaped by karst terrain, where limestone pavements, vertical shafts and cliffs reveal the work of water on limestone.
This photo print of the Font d’Urle plateau is printed to order on matte aluminium Dibond, preserving the shades of the pastures and the texture of the terrain.
