A rope team of mountaineers advances on the snowy slopes of the Dômes de Miage. The figures linked by the rope punctuate the ascent and give the measure of this vast glacial terrain, where the snow line naturally leads the eye upwards. The Dômes de Miage rise in the south-western part of the Mont-Blanc massif, above the Val Montjoie and Les Contamines-Montjoie. Their main peak reaches 3,673 metres and their long succession of ridges forms one of the most recognizable landscapes for mountaineering in Haute-Savoie.
