About this image

An Alpine ibex stands out on the rocks of Grand Veymont facing the wide spaces of the Vercors. Its brown coat, horns and stable posture contrast with the pale lines of limestone and the open horizon. Short grasses grow between the light rocks of the slope. Behind the ibex, a snow-covered range appears in the distance and extends the landscape beyond the nearby ridges. The animal therefore remains connected to its immediate terrain through the ground details while standing out against a much broader horizon open to the Alpine relief.

The composition keeps a significant part of the landscape around the animal, allowing its environment and scale to be understood. Coat detail answers the stone textures, while the restrained tones maintain a wild atmosphere.

Grand Veymont rises to 2,341 metres at the heart of the Hauts-Plateaux nature reserve. Ibex were reintroduced to the massif from 1989 and now frequent the ridges, cliffs and rocky areas of the eastern barrier.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
