About this image

A family of ibex moves across the rocky slabs of the Aiguilles Rouges. Adults and young occupy different levels of the relief, forming a lively scene in which the animal silhouettes stand out against pale stone and mineral terraces. The animals appear in silhouette on dark rocks. Behind the group, a glacier descends between mountains whose upper parts disappear into the clouds. This glacial background adds further depth to the scene: horns and backs are first read as nearby outlines before the eye moves toward the snow and distant walls.

The framing gives the group room to breathe and shows the relationship between the animals and their habitat. The alertness of the adults, the proximity of the kids and the repetition of rocky lines give the image a natural balance. Soft light reveals the coats without erasing the mineral texture.

Facing the Mont-Blanc massif, the Aiguilles Rouges overlook the Chamonix valley and include several protected natural areas. Alpine ibex find suitable terrain here, made up of high-altitude grassland, cliffs, scree and rocky shelves.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
