Photo print of a typical Haute-Savoie chalet in Contamines-Montjoie

In the middle of a flower-filled meadow, a log chalet embodies the rural character of the Contamines-Montjoie valley. Dark wood, tall grasses and colourful touches of flowers create a warm foreground, extended by the Alpine slopes under clear summer light. Stacks of logs line the façade, where decorative skis and a red flag with a white cross can also be seen. These details evoke wood and mountain life without shifting attention away from the chalet itself. The surrounding meadow and forest extend its materials: logs, firewood and trees echo one another at different distances in the photograph.

The strength of the image lies in the way the building is integrated into its environment. The chalet is not treated as a simple architectural subject: the meadow softens its lines, the mountains give it depth and natural colours create a peaceful early-summer atmosphere.

The village lies in Val Montjoie in Haute-Savoie, at the foot of the Mont-Blanc massif. Its territory combines hamlets, alpine meadows, forests and protected areas, with a nature reserve extending from the entrance of the valley to the high glacial summits.

Printed to order on matte aluminium Dibond, this photo print of a chalet in Contamines-Montjoie preserves the texture of the wood and the freshness of the landscape, with a finish that limits reflections.
