About this image

The summits of the Aravis massif catch the final light above the combes and alpine meadows. Limestone cliffs hold golden light while couloirs and slopes already in shadow accentuate the jagged ridges. The great inclined faces take on the gold of the light, while the points draw a more irregular line against the clear sky. On the left, a distant valley opens a gap between rocky masses. This alternation of illuminated faces and dark intervals gives depth to the succession of summits beyond their simple outline on the horizon.

The framing embraces several relief rather than reducing the landscape to a single summit. This repetition creates a regular visual rhythm, reinforced by the transition between warm sunset areas and cooler tones in the valleys. The image thus preserves a mineral presence without losing the pastoral softness of the Aravis.

The Aravis range crosses Haute-Savoie between La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand. This pre-Alpine massif is recognisable by its succession of parallel combes and limestone walls; Pointe Percée, rising to 2,750 metres, is its highest point.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
