About this image

Sunset light slides across the rooftops of Lyon, chimneys and façades. Tiles and walls take on ochre, orange and pink tones, while urban silhouettes gradually stand out beneath the late-day sky. Yellow trees punctuate the panorama between red roofs, bridges and the great river. On the horizon, modern towers add verticals farther away than the nearby chimneys. This succession creates an expanded reading of Lyon: the material of the rooftops leads toward the lines of the water and then toward the taller silhouettes extending the city into the distance.

The framing plays on the succession of planes: chimney details in the foreground, intermediate façades and more distant lines. Low-angle light emphasizes volumes and materials without making the colours uniform, giving the urban landscape a warm and quiet atmosphere.

This view does not reduce Lyon to a single monument. Instead, it shows the density of its historic centre built between the hills, Presqu’île, Saône and Rhône, with a succession of rooftops revealing the city’s relief.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
