About this image

The Vercors ridges draw a long limestone line above alpine meadows and plateaus. Cliffs, lapiaz and high-altitude grassland follow one another in a broadly open landscape where each change in slope reveals new depth. Below the rocky ridge, a green inhabited valley opens the view. Woodland follows the slopes before ranges overlap in the distance beneath an elongated grey sky. This transition from nearby stone to the valley landscape shows the flank of the ridges as much as their summit line and gives space to inhabited areas at their foot.

The framing emphasizes the continuity of the relief rather than an isolated summit. Pale limestone greys alternate with alpine-meadow greens and cliff shadows, giving the photograph a regular rhythm and a strong mineral presence.

The eastern barrier of the massif extends for nearly fifty kilometres at an altitude often close to 2,000 metres. It separates the Hauts-Plateaux from the Trièves and reaches its highest point at Grand Veymont, at 2,341 metres.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
