About this image

Around Passo Giau, the slopes of Mondeval fold in successive lines before joining the ridges of Lastoni di Formin and Croda da Lago. Further on, the great wall of Civetta appears in a slight haze and extends the depth of the panorama. The bends of the trail cross the green slopes and meet the lines of development visible halfway up the hillside. Small buildings give a sense of scale to the terrain beneath the rock bands. Beyond them, the great hazy wall closes the landscape, its outlines softer than those of the nearby ridges: the different planes remain distinct despite the breadth of the view.

The trail and the curves of the terrain organize the composition without drawing all the attention. The grazing light emphasizes the limestone layers, separates the ridges, and gives the distant reliefs progressively softer hues.

This area of the Dolomites is located between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Val Fiorentina, in the province of Belluno. The pass and neighboring plateaus offer particularly open views of the Pelmo, Croda da Lago, and Civetta massifs.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
