About this image
A female chamois and her kid stand side by side on a rocky slope in the Hautes-Alpes. The young animal stays very close to its mother, and the two face different ways: the female towards the camera and the kid with its back turned and its head in profile, creating an attentive scene where the differences in size are immediately clear. Golden grasses on the mound surround both silhouettes. The larger animal looks towards the camera, while the kid turns its head to the left over its back. This difference in orientation brings life to the pair and keeps each posture distinct, despite their bodies being close together on the same small patch of ground.
The composition relies on the connection between the two silhouettes. The repetition of the lines of their backs, ears, and legs reinforces their proximity, while the medium framing retains enough space to avoid the effect of a portrait detached from its environment.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
