Yellows, coppers, and greens mingle without uniformity, revealing the diversity of the undergrowth. The photograph does not link the scene to a more precise valley or mountain range. It remains focused on a Savoyard forest slope, where deciduous trees, larches, and spruces compose several plant layers and give the season a particularly legible richness of colours.
