About this image

Grand Veymont and the Vercors ridges dominate the horizon in a panorama of limestone, alpine pastures, and plateaus. The summit commands the composition, but the succession of rocky lines allows one to follow the entire eastern barrier. The view opens through a gap in the rocks onto a grassy slope, a pale cliff and its scree. This nearby frame gives the entrance to the image pronounced relief. Farther away, the forested horizon stands out beneath the blue sky and extends the landscape, linking the textures of the immediate limestone to the massif’s broad wooded areas.

The view emphasises the breadth of the landscape rather than a particular detail. Shadows carve out the combes, grasslands soften the slopes, and light reveals the structure of the cliffs, in a natural palette of grey, green, and blue.

The highest point of the massif in Isère at 2,341 metres, Grand Veymont overlooks the Trièves and the Vercors High Plateaus. These reliefs belong to a long limestone wall whose natural passages connect the valleys to the plateau.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
