About this image

The rhyolite mountains of Landmannalaugar display an unusual palette of yellows, ochres, browns and greens. Darker lava flows cross the valleys, while moss and a few traces of residual snow emphasize changes in slope.

A person stands on a rocky ridge on the right, very small within this vast mineral landscape. The silhouette gives scale to the coloured slopes and dark flow, while low green vegetation follows the lower ground. The photograph keeps this presence discreet: it serves as a reference point before the eye crosses the full extent of the mountains.

The photograph is built in layers: dark terrain in the foreground, coloured slopes in the centre and softer ridge lines on the horizon. The relief remains readable despite the chromatic variety, and the natural forms avoid any artificial decorative effect.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
