At dawn, the Matterhorn receives the sun's first pink hues while the moon remains visible in the sky. The summit and the star form two distinct points of balance, connected by a gradient of cold blues and nascent light. The mountain reaches 4,478 meters between the Swiss Valais and the Italian Aosta Valley. Seen from the Zermatt area, its pyramidal silhouette dominates the valley and draws the eye to its ridges, rocky faces, and snowy areas. The presence of the moon gives the scene a particularly calm dimension without distracting from the relief. Light progresses in touches on the upper parts of the Matterhorn, while the lower slopes remain darker. This transition preserves all the freshness of the morning at high altitude.
