About this image
The first light reaches the Robert Blanc refuge, isolated among rocks, snowfields and high-mountain relief. The small refuge becomes a human landmark in a mineral setting still divided between the cool tones of shadow and the warmth of sunrise. The stone building stands on the right of the snow-covered slope. Behind it, a great rocky relief streaked with white closes the view, with mist at its foot. The photograph therefore keeps a clear built landmark in front of several much larger materials: nearby snow, dark rock on the slopes and the veil softening their base.
The composition contrasts the small scale of the building with the breadth of the slopes and ridges. Low-angle light reveals the stone, catches the snow and gives depth to the landscape without breaking the silent atmosphere of dawn.
The refuge lies at around 2,750 metres above sea level in the Vallée des Glaciers, in the commune of Bourg-Saint-Maurice in Savoie. Located at the southern end of the Mont-Blanc massif, it stands at the foot of Aiguille des Glaciers and serves as a base for several Alpine routes.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
