About this image

Snow-laden fir trees fill the foreground while the Mont-Blanc massif rises above the forest. White branches form a natural frame around the summits and create a transition between the wooded valley landscape and the glacial high mountains. A band of clouds circles the broad white mountain and leaves its summit protruding above. Below, the snow-covered forest remains clearly present in the foreground. The veil separates the two levels without breaking their continuity: nearby branches show the snow in detail, then the cloud layer leads toward the great glacial surfaces whose volumes can be read above the forest.

Winter light reveals the different textures of the snow, lighter on the branches and more compact on the summits. Dark greens, whites and blues form a cool palette balanced by the softness of the atmosphere.

Around Chamonix, conifer forests cover a large part of the slopes before giving way to alpine meadows, rocks and glaciers. This photograph brings together these two levels of the Alpine landscape without opposing them: the forest creates proximity, while Mont-Blanc opens the depth.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
