About this image
The Moëde Anterne refuge sits in the alpine meadows of the Fiz massif facing the Mont-Blanc range. The building provides a human landmark amid slopes, paths and relief, while the glacial summits close the horizon. The small group of buildings remains very close to the lower edge of the frame, in an alpine meadow dotted with snowfields. A valley and several reliefs separate it from the distant glacial range. This distance gives the photograph its depth: the shelter belongs to the nearby terrain, while Mont-Blanc forms the horizon beyond this succession of planes.
The composition connects three levels of the landscape: the alpine meadow in the foreground, the refuge as a balancing point and Mont-Blanc in the distance. Late-day light softens the limestone relief of the Fiz and carries the eye toward the snow-covered summits.
Located at around 2,000 metres above sea level in the commune of Passy, the refuge lies on several hiking routes, including the Tour des Fiz. Its position also opens views toward the Aiguilles Rouges and the major relief of Haute-Savoie.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
