About this image
A forest of fir trees in autumn surrounds an inhabited valley between deep greens, golden yellows and more discreet browns. The central road, chalets and cables structure the view among the trees. Curves of the road connect the different chalets while overhead lines cross the canopy. Light reaches golden trees and leaves other groups of conifers in denser greens. These variations make the inhabited valley readable without erasing its wooded continuity; the built elements remain inserted between vegetation masses.
The framing brings together the forest landscape and valley infrastructure while preserving the natural diversity of forms. The road leads the eye between chalets; depth comes from alternating planes and filtered light.
The scene shows an inhabited valley within Savoie mountain forests. The change of season appears in the variation of shades, lighter trees and areas of shadow crossing the canopy.
This photo print of fir trees in autumn in Savoie is printed to order on matte aluminium Dibond. The support reproduces vegetal nuances and fine branches without artificially increasing contrast.
