About this image
The seracs of the Talèfre glacier form a foreground of fractured ice below Aiguille du Moine, La Nonne and L’Évêque. Blocks, crevasses and rocky spires create a dense, almost abstract landscape in which each plane reveals a new texture. A group of skiers stands at the foot of the turquoise ice front. Their figures give an immediate sense of scale to this wall, ahead of the great orange rock towers rising behind it. The snowy basin brings these three elements together—people, ice and granite—in a photograph whose colour contrasts make the different distances very clear.
The photograph connects the unstable forms of the glacier with the verticality of the granite. Whites and blues in the ice contrast with the darker tones of the rock, while the broken lines of the seracs give rhythm and depth to the scene.
The Talèfre basin lies in the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif above the Mer de Glace and Chamonix. It is dominated by several major peaks and is a historic mountaineering area, accessible in particular from the Refuge du Couvercle.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
