About this image

Ski-touring tracks draw long curves across a slope of fresh snow facing Mont-Blanc. No skier interrupts the composition: movement is suggested by the trajectories, which lead the eye from the foreground toward the summit and the snow-covered relief on the horizon. Conifers punctuate the rolling plateau and introduce dark verticals among the tracks. The veiled sky softens light transitions on the snow while the white rocky mountain closes the background. The route suggested by the skis therefore crosses a readable terrain of small bumps and isolated trees before the breadth of the distant massif.

The image’s simplicity is its strength. The flowing lines of the tracks contrast with the more massive forms of the mountain, while whites, bluish shadows and subtle texture variations give relief to a restrained palette.

Mont-Blanc, the highest point in the Alps, dominates a vast glacial ensemble between Haute-Savoie and the Aosta Valley. The view connects the travelled slope with the massif in a snow landscape where tracks link the different planes.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
