About this image

In this view toward Landmannalaugar, the volcanic relief appears more broadly integrated into lava fields and expanses of ash. Dark slopes stand out across terrain crossed by moss, gravel and natural lines shaped by erosion. The rim of the cone combines red and dark tones with green slopes. A path climbs directly on the left above the track running along its foot. Nearby volcanic rocks and snowfields in the background extend these differences in material: the view connects details of the terrain with the simpler, more distant form of the cone.

The framing gives more space to foreground surfaces than to the cone itself. This organisation reveals differences in material and the progression of colours, from lava blacks to luminous moss greens and softer tones of distant relief.

The Fjallabak reserve contains part of the great Torfajökull volcanic system. Its landscapes combine basaltic rocks, rhyolite mountains, old lava flows and geothermal areas in a fragile high-altitude environment that is almost entirely mineral.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
