About this image

From the Route des Crêtes, the upland pastures, forests, and rounded peaks of the Vosges stretch out to the horizon. The high-altitude pastures clear the foreground, then the wooded slopes become progressively denser and more distant. A farm stands in the green meadows on the nearby slope. Beyond it, a long wooded, inhabited valley leads towards the rounded hills. This building provides a sense of scale for the upland pastures, while the changing density of the woods makes the different slopes clear as far as the more distant forms of the panorama.

The panorama is not based on a single peak, but on a series of gentle curves and planes. The upland pastures create wide breathing spaces, the forests accentuate the depth, and the clear light makes the continuity of the massif legible.

The road crosses the High Vosges between the Col du Bonhomme and the Grand Ballon. It notably runs along the areas of Hohneck and the Col de la Schlucht, often staying above the Alsatian and Lorraine valleys.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
