Its four towers, its forecourt, and its clear volumes become fully legible thanks to the aerial perspective. Construction of the basilica began in 1872 according to Pierre Bossan's plans. The building has four towers measuring 48 meters and blends Romanesque, Gothic, and Byzantine influences. It belongs to the historic site of Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
