About this image
Aiguille du Midi and its observatory overlook Chamonix in the warm light of the setting sun. The snow-covered ridges are tinged with gold and pink, while the faces already in shadow retain cooler hues that enhance the relief. An antenna crowns the facilities at the top of the orange-coloured spire. Taut cables introduce fine lines beside the snowy flank beneath the more irregular rock shapes. This equipment gives a precise sense of scale to the terrain, whose warmly lit faces contrast with the whites and shaded areas of the snow.
The presence of the observatory and summit facilities gives a human scale to the mountain. However, the composition retains all the mineral power of the summit: the evening light reveals volumes, highlights couloirs, and outlines the silhouette against the sky.
At an altitude of 3,842 metres, Aiguille du Midi stands at the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif. Its cable car connects the centre of Chamonix to the gates of the high mountains and a panorama covering the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
