About this image
The Barre des Écrins receives the morning light while the glaciers and valleys remain in cool tones. The light outlines the upper ridges and walls, revealing the summit's structure. Pink-tinged clouds accompany the upper part of the peak. Below the orange ridges, the broad slope of the Glacier Blanc remains blue in shadow. This distribution of light gives the forms clear boundaries, while the clouds extend the warm colours above the walls and maintain a gentle atmosphere around the terrain. This high-mountain landscape belongs to the French Alps.
The framing plays on the contrast between the subtle orange of sunrise and the blues of the snow still in shadow. The different layers of the terrain remain legible, from the glacial slopes to the rocky ridges, without losing the softness of the morning light.
At 4,102 metres, the Barre des Écrins is the highest point in the massif. It rises between the Vallouise and Vénéon valleys, in the heart of the Écrins National Park, amidst a group of glaciers and peaks exceeding 4,000 metres.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
