About this image
The Croix du Nivolet stands out in the foreground against the reliefs of the Chartreuse massif. Its vertical silhouette acts as a landmark in a landscape where the ridges stretch towards the horizon above the Chambéry basin. Positioned on the left on its promontory, the cross rises from a dark wooded slope. The pink and orange sky extends the tones of the mist in the valley without erasing the separation between the ridges. The eye therefore moves from the nearby, sharply defined vertical landmark to the softer horizontal lines of the panorama: the monument provides a sense of scale for this depth.
The framing creates a dialogue between the monument and the mountain without reducing the scene to a simple symbol. The depth of the successive planes leads the eye from the cross towards the Chartreuse, while the nuances of light reveal the valleys and ridgelines.
Set on the heights of the Bauges massif, the cross overlooks the valley and is one of the major viewpoints accessible from La Féclaz and the Revard area. Its height and position on the edge of the cliff give it an immediately recognizable presence in the Savoie landscape.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
