About this image
From Charmant Som, the Dent de Crolles structures the foreground before the eye reaches the Belledonne mountain range. The limestone reliefs of the Chartreuse and the more distant granitic peaks echo each other across the Grésivaudan valley. The forests and valleys are covered in snow beneath several flat-topped cliffs. Low mist separates some of the slopes before the long white range on the horizon. These successive bands strengthen the depth of the view from Charmant Som: the sharp edges of the nearby limestone extend towards peaks that the atmosphere gradually softens.
The framing emphasizes the succession of planes. The slopes of Charmant Som lead towards the Dent de Crolles, then the reliefs gradually become bluer on the horizon. The photograph thus retains a natural atmospheric depth.
This viewpoint in the Chartreuse massif is located north of Grenoble. It offers very open views of the neighboring massifs, with a particularly clear reading of the differences in shape and material between the cliffs of the Dent de Crolles and the high ridges of Belledonne.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
